Function & Applications:
Synacure 819 can be used in printing inks and prepreg systems for wood, metal, plastic, paper and optical fiber surfaces. In white coatings, colored coatings and inks containing titanium dioxide or other high hiding pigments, adding a small amount of Synacure 819 can make the coating have excellent curing effect and UV yellowing resistance. Due to its excellent absorption properties, Synacure 819 can be used in thick film systems.
Synacure 819 can be used in combination with other photoinitiators, such as Synacure 184 or Synacure 651. The combination of Synacure 819 and Synacure 651 is particularly suitable for curing polyester/styrene resin systems, such as glass fiber reinforced materials.
Due to its absorption in the long wavelength band, Synacure 819 can be used in combination with UV absorbers (such as Sinosorb 400) and can therefore be used in UV-curable coatings that require weather resistance.
